Early Life and Education
Norbert Lou was born into an immigrant family. His parents were refugees from Cuba to the United States, an experience that shaped his views on risk, opportunity, and the American Dream. Education: He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan. He later obtained a master's degree from Columbia Business School. At Columbia, he had the privilege of studying under investment master Bruce Greenwald, who deeply influenced him with his "cigar butt" value investing approach and "economic moat" theory. This experience laid a solid foundation for his rigorous investment analysis framework.
